Carl W. Javenkoski Death Notice

Carl W. Javenkoski, a salary retiree passed away on
Wednesday October 3rd in Rapid River, Michigan.
Besides his wife Lorena, he is survived by one
daughter, three sons, a sister, grandchildren, 
great-grandchildren other relatives and friends.
A U.S. Navy World War II Veteran, he served 
aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ranger. Services
were to be held on Saturday November 3rd at the
Trinity Lutheran Church in Stonington, Mich.
with interment in Lakewodd Cemetery in
Stonington. Mr. Javenkoski was born in Three
Lakes, Wisconsin on February 12th, 1924, he
was hired by Harnischfeger as a design 
engineer on February 22nd, 1951 and retired 
on August 1st, 1984.  He was 88 years old.   
 
 

Edward A. "Ed" Peters Death Notice

Edward A. "Ed" Peters, a salary retiree passed away on
Saturday September 15th after a gallant battle with
melanoma cancer.  He is survived by his wife Sandy, 
2 sons, 2 daughters, 2 brothers, other relatives and 
friends.  Visitation and services were held at the
Krause Funeral Home on West National Avenue
on Saturday September 22nd.  Mr. Peters was born
on August 30th, 1938, hired by Harnischfeger on
July 6th, 1967 and retired on September 15th, 2012.
He was 64 years old.     

William R. "Bill" Powers Death Notice

William R. "Bill" Powers a salary active employee
passed away on Wednesday September 5th.  He is
survived by his wife Lynn, A daughter, a son,
other relatives and friends.  Visitation and services 
were held at the Bay View Chapel of the Prasse-
Kleczka Funeral Home on Tuesday September 11th,
with interment in Wisconsin Memorial Park. \
Mr. Powers was born on October 1st, 1955, and
hired by Harnischfeger on July 18th, 1983.
He was 56 years old.  

Dale L. Anderson Death Notice

Dale L. Anderson a Local 1114 retiree passed away 
on Tuesday September 4th.  He is survived by his 
loving friend Barbara Gonring, other friends and 
relatives.  Visitation and services were held at 
Our Savior Lutheran Church in New Berlin with 
interment at St. Paul Lutheran Church in
Juddville, Wis. Mr. Anderson was born on March
18th, 1936, hired by Harnischfeger on August 1st,
1961 and retired on April 30, 1998.  Mr. Anderson
was 76 years old. 

William "Bill' Zimmermann Death Notice

William "Bill' Zimmermann passed away on
Saturday October 13th.  He is survived by his 
wife of 63 years, Joyce, 3 daughters, a sister,
grand-children, great grand-children, other
relatives and friends.  William was a World 
War II Veteran and a 44 year employee of
the Harnischfeger Corporation.  Services 
will be held at Atonement Lutheran Church
in Muskego at 11:30 AM on Saturday 
October 20th, with interment in Wisconsin
Memorial Park.  Mr. Zimmermann was 
87 years old.   

Kenneth S. "Ken" Brandt death Notice

Kenneth S. "Ken" Brandt, Local 1114 retiree 
passed away on Sunday August 26th. He is 
survived by his wife Sherri, a son. a daughter,
other relatives and friends.Visitation and 
services were held o Friday August 31st at the 
Heritage Funeral Home on South 27th Street,
with private interment at Forest Hill Memorial
Park.  Mr. Brandt was born on March 20th, 1956,
hired by Harnischfger on January 20th, 1976 and 
retired on July 21, 2011.  He was 56 years old.     

John Tuma Death Notice

John Tuma, a Local 1114 retiree passed away on
Friday August 10th. He is survived by his wife
Delores, 4 sons, a daughter, a sister, grandchildren,
great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.  
Visitation and services cwere hel;d on Tuesday 
August 14th at The Church and Chapel in
Cudahy.  Private burial was held at the 
Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Tuma was born on May 5th, 1927, hired by
Harnischfeger on June 4th, 1965 and retired on
June 39th, 1989.  He was 85 years old.
